My cartoons currently appear in the Mercury and the Sunday Tasmanian.

I drew my first one (really badly) for the Mercury in 1985. I had no doubt my cartooning career would be brief. I fully expected that someone in authority would tap me on the shoulder, ask what the hell I was doing and show me the door.

In hindsight, I realise that when I started I didn't have any idea what I was doing ... thirty five years in and, at times, I still wonder if that's the case.

I worked for News Corp Australia for over thirty years, took a redundancy at the end of 2016 and have been drawing my cartoons from home ever since.
